Overview of Value Received
Through the Service, You can earn cash rewards by registering and sharing Your personal information, survey responses, receipt data, and other information collected from Your use of the Service. We are able to pay these rewards because we have partnerships with brands that use such information to better understand their consumers and conduct marketing and advertising campaigns.
Rewards received on the Service will vary, depending on the type and number of interactions You undertake. Sharing more information generally leads to higher rewards. And sometimes, participating brands create special offers on the Service, providing special rewards for users that properly engage with those special offers.
Remember – if You no longer want to share Your personal information with Caddle or with our participating brand partners, You can stop using the Services and delete Your account at any time. You can also request that We delete your personal information, which We will do going forward promptly upon receipt of Your request.

VII. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under age 18. If You are under age 18, please do not submit any personal information through the Service. If You have reason to believe that We may have accidentally received personal information from an individual under age 18, please contact Us immediately at privacy@getcaddle.com. We will immediately delete all information about an individual under age 18 upon receipt of notice from either the individual, or the individual’s parent or guardian, following reasonable validation of identity.

Caddle Inc. (“Caddle“, “We“, “Our” or “Us“) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of Our users. Caddle provides various services, including Caddle’s web application(s), mobile application(s), social media account(s), and service(s) offered through or in conjunction with third parties, (collectively, the “Service“). Please read this privacy policy (the “Policy“) carefully before you (a user of the Service) download, access, or otherwise use the Service (you, the user of the Service, referred herein as “You” or “Your“). If You do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service. If You do download, access or otherwise use the Service, or continue to use the Service after the Policy has been changed (see below), You (i) agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy and (ii) this Policy shall have the same effect as a binding written agreement executed by You and Us.

I. Information We Collect
When You use the Service, We collect Your personal information and other information about You. Sometimes, You will directly provide information. Other times, we will collect it automatically or by a third party. When Your express consent is required (e.g. if laws require), we will only collect your information if you expressly agree. By using the Service, You consent to Our collection, use and disclosure of Your information. You may refuse or withdraw this consent any time (to do this, see section VI. Access, Accuracy and Choice).

As permitted by law, consent to the collection of Your personal information may be implied. In certain circumstances, express consent may be required, and We will do so if it is determined that We must obtain express consent from You. Otherwise, Your acceptance of this Policy indicates Your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Your information.
Subject to legal and contractual restrictions, You may refuse or withdraw Your consent at any time by notifying Us in accordance with this Policy. We note that some of the Service require Your personal information to function properly or the Service may only be offered if You provide Us with Your personal information. Cross-border Transfers and Outsourcing
Caddle is headquartered in Canada and the Service is hosted in Canada. However, some of Our development occurs outside of Canada and We may use hosting services located outside of Canada.
As detailed in the disclosure section below where We describe how We share information with third parties, We work with third parties who may be located outside of Canada and Your information may be processed and stored in a country outside of Canada. As a result, foreign federal and state governments, Canadian federal or provincial courts or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of Your information through laws applicable in the foreign countries and Canada. Your use of the Service or Your submission of any information to Us will constitute Your consent to the transfer of Your information outside of Your country of residence, which may provide for different data protection and privacy rules than in Your country.
Information You Provide Us
We collect Your personal information when You give it to us. Collection may be facilitated through various means such as:
- Surveys: You may participate in surveys made available on the Service. If You participate in these surveys, You may be asked to answer various questions.
- Uploads: You may participate in programs on the Service that reward uploading of certain information such as receipts, videos or photos. We may process this information (e.g. using OCR technology) to derive information from such information uploaded by You. The derived information may include personal information such as Your loyalty program information, name, store address and items You bought, which may reveal certain personal information. We may also derive commercial information from the information You uploaded, such as purchase information, Product GTIN or UPC, Product Name, price, total receipt price, the store You visited, number of items You bought, receipt ID, and transaction information (though all sensitive information such as credit card or banking information cannot be retrieved as they are redacted).
- Ratings and Reviews: When You submit reviews or ratings through the Service, We may collect information from You relating to the ratings or reviews such as satisfaction score (e.g. NPS), and text review.
- Sign-up: When You register an account with the Service, We may collect personal information including Your e-mail, name, gender, date of birth and mailing address. You may subscribe to updates (such as newsletters) made available on the Service. As part of the subscription, You may be asked to enter Your name, telephone number and e-mail.
- To receive marketing communications: You may subscribe to updates (such as newsletters) made available on the Service. As part of the subscription to receive those updates, You may be asked to enter Your name and e-mail.
- Referrals: The Service may facilitate sharing to a friend, family or other connections that You may have through social media accounts, e-mails, messaging services and other sharing platforms, which may require You to enter personal information.
- Contact Us: When You contact us through the “Contact Us” form on the Service, We collect personal information that You provide us through the form. Such information may include Your name, e-mail, telephone number, and other information requested on the form. We may provide support to You via chatbots, and other interactive platforms and We may collect information from You, including Your name, e-mail, and the text You input into such platforms.
- Fraud detection: When We suspect that a transaction You have made on the Service may violate our Terms of Service, We may ask You to provide additional information to resolve the claim, including, but not limited to, Your telephone number.
- Job Applications: When You submit a job application to Us, We may collect Your personal information such as Your name, e-mail, mailing address, telephone number, education information, employment information, and any other information that You provide Us in Your resume, cover letter or otherwise.
We may aggregate your survey question responses, uploads, ratings and reviews with other information You have supplied to us, or that We collect about You, including personal information such as Your name and birthdate.
Information Automatically Collected
We may collect Your information automatically when You use the Service. This collection may be done directly by Us, or via a third-party service provider. For third-party service providers, please also refer to the disclosure section below where We describe how We share information with third parties. We may automatically collect Your information, including personal information, such as Your IP address, telephone number, network information, Bluetooth information, device information, browser information, and operating system information. From time to time, We may track Your interaction with the Service (e.g. screens viewed, actions taken).
Where you have given your express consent at the device level (e.g. to Apple or Google) to share your device advertising identifiers with us, We may collect those identifiers.
Information from Other Sources
We may collect information about You from third-party sources, and combine or link it with the information We have collected from you, or that you have provided to us. When You connect to the Service using Your social media accounts or other federated identity management services, We may receive information such as Your public profile, language, age group, country, and other information that such social media services or federated identity management services may provide. In addition to enabling the connection, We may use Your information for matching You with clients on the Service, as well as for delivering advertisements that may be relevant or of interest to You. II. Purposes of Collection, Use and Disclosure
We use the information collected on the Service for the purposes listed in the Purposes section found below; this includes (without limitation) creating market research and data insight reports that are made available to third parties. We may disclose Your information to various parties that are described below (e.g. clients, business partners, third-party service providers, government authorities, etc.) For example, as it relates to a client, we may share product purchase information you upload on the Service; the client would then apply such information in their advertising, marketing, research, or analytic campaigns. At all times, we will only share your information if we have your consent or another legal basis to do so.
Clients
From time to time, we may share information with Our clients and their service providers who use the Service. The information sharing is provided as part of Our suite of products that are based on the Service and may be sold or made available for monetary or non-monetary value. Information shared as part of Our suite of products may include: information We collect from You via surveys, ratings, reviews, or receipts that you upload, aggregated information that We generated using information from the Service that may incorporate Your information (including personal information), and information automatically collected about You and Your devices.
For example, We may share personal information related to your purchase or receipt information and/or survey responses with Our clients or third parties for advertising, marketing research or analytics purposes (e.g., to help them better understand consumer preferences or segments or serve more relevant advertising). In these cases, We restrict the ways in which third parties may use this data in our contracts with them. We will only engage in this type of sharing if We have obtained your consent to do so or if We believe We have another appropriate legal basis or are otherwise permitted to do so under applicable law.

Third-Party Service Providers and Business Partners
We may use third-party service providers and business partners to perform functions in connection with the Service. Examples of such functions include: consultation, notifications, analytics, marketing and remarketing, receipt transcription, image capture, reviews and ratings, federated identity management, and referral services. Some of the third-party service providers and business partners may be provided or given access to Your personal information and they may be located outside of Canada.
Below is a description of how We share information with Our third-party service providers and business partners:
- Consultation: We may work with partners to continue to improve the Service We provide to You and the viability of Our business. Consulting partners may be provided broad access to Our information for them to have a holistic understanding of Our business. This may include Your information and the level access may depend on the service provided by our consulting partners. For example, a consulting partner working with Us on privacy improvements may have greater access to Our data.
- Notification: We may use the services of companies that provide notification services for Us to reach Our user base. This notification may be via the Service (e.g. in-app notification) or outside of the Service (e.g. e-mail). To enable this service, We may share Your IP address, device information, operating system information, and activities on the Service (e.g. actions taken, screens viewed).
- Analytics: We may work with companies that specialize in analytics (e.g. Google Analytics). These companies allow Us to understand Our users, the performance of the Service, and any errors, faults or failures that may occur with the Service. To perform these functions, analytics providers may use cookies and other tracking technologies as described below.
- Marketing and Remarketing: Our marketing partners help Us market Our products and services to acquire more users and clients. Remarketing may occur on other digital platforms such as Facebook and Google. We may share Your information with these providers through technologies such as cookies and web beacon (please see Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies below). Please refer to Facebook’s data policy and Google’s privacy policy for more information.
- Receipt Transcription: Transcription of receipts submitted by You may be provided by a third-party service provider. To provide this service, these providers would have access to receipts uploaded by You.
- Image Capture: We may work with partners to allow You to capture images as part of the Service. These images may be used by Our clients to verify certain commercial activities. Through these images, Our clients may retrieve information regarding location and other metadata available in those images.
- Reviews and Ratings: The reviews and ratings functionality in the Service may be provided by a third-party service provider. These reviews and ratings may be used by other clients of the service provider and displayed on other services. To ensure the authenticity of the reviews and ratings, these providers may use Your information such as network information and camera.
- Federated Identity Management: We may in the future work with companies that provide federated identity management. To enable such a service, We may provide Your personal information to such companies to verify Your identity.
- Referral Services: We may work with companies that enable You to refer a friend, family or other connections via e-mail, messaging services, social media platforms and other communication means. We may share Your name, e-mail, device information and IP address to enable this referral service.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Third-party service providers may collect or receive Your information from the Service through the use of cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies. This information may be used for advertisements, analytics and other services that may be relevant or of interest to You.
- Cookies: We use cookies, which are small pieces of data sent from a website and stored on Your device. We use both session and persistent cookies; the former is deleted when You close Your browser whereas the latter is deleted when You clear Your cookies. Cookies are both created by Us and Our partners. Cookies may store information such as Your login information (except passwords), session information, device information, network information and usage statistics. To disable cookies, please adjust Your browser settings. However, some features on the Service may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
- Web Beacons: Web beacons (also known as pixels) allow activities to be tracked and We may use it to track Your activities on the Service, help us with Our marketing and remarketing efforts, offer You products and services You may be interested in. Web beacons may collect Your information that is similar in nature to information stored in cookies such as Your login information (except passwords), session information, device information, network information and activities on the Service (e.g. actions taken, screens viewed).
- Software: The Service may incorporate software from third-party service providers to enable tracking of users on the Service. Such software may collect Your information such as Your location, identifiers, e-mail, network information, device information, and information in Your account to provide Us tracking services.
Business Changes
If We become involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, joint venture, securities offering, bankruptcy, reorganization, liquidation, dissolution, or other transaction or if the ownership of all or substantially all of Our business otherwise changes, We may transfer Your information to a third party or parties in connection therewith. - Technical: The Service includes technical securities such as encryption to ensure that Your personal information is secure. Further, We ensure end-point security of Our devices through strong password protection.
Retention
We retain Your personal information for as long as You use the Service and for a reasonable time thereafter. The exact retention period for information varies on the type of information and the purpose for which such information was collected. Some information is necessary to maintain, safeguard and operate the Service and as a result, such information may be kept indefinitely. When Your personal information is no longer required, We will destroy, erase or convert it to an anonymous form.
Residual Risk

Third Party Elements
The Service may include access to third-party advertising and links to other websites. These third-party websites and advertisers, or Internet advertising companies working on their behalf, sometimes use technology to send advertisements that appear on Our website directly to Your browser. They automatically receive Your IP address when this happens. They may also use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (also known as action tags or single-pixel gifs), and other technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. No Liability for Third Party Elements
You acknowledge that this Policy applies only to the Service that We own or operate.
